About the Bandhavgarh Tiger Marathon
The name can mislead. The Bandhavgarh Tiger Marathon is not a running event. It is a multi-day expedition focused on giving you the best possible chance of seeing tigers in Bandhavgarh National Park.
The core of it is five jungle safaris over three days, usually two a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They run in jeeps with experienced guides who know the park well and can help you spot tigers and other wildlife in the Tala, Magadhi and Khitauli core zones.
Between drives you rest at a comfortable resort near the park, with a pool, a lounge and all meals included. Tigers are wild animals, so sightings can never be guaranteed, but more safaris mean better odds.

Bandhavgarh Tiger Marathon Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival and transfer to the resort
- Arrive at Jabalpur Airport or Railway Station and transfer to your resort.
- Lunch is served by 1 PM.
- Hi-tea at 5:30 PM. Enjoy the lounge services.
- Dinner from 8:30 PM until 10 PM.
- Time to rest before an early start.
Day 2 Two safaris in the core zones
- Morning safari in the Tala, Magadhi or Khitauli core zone.
- Breakfast is served on safari.
- Come back and relax in the pool.
- Lunch is served by 1 PM.
- Afternoon safari in the Tala, Magadhi or Khitauli core zone.
- Hi-tea on your return.
- Dinner from 8:30 PM until 10 PM.
- Time to rest.
Day 3 Two more safaris
- Morning safari in the Tala, Magadhi or Khitauli core zone.
- Breakfast is served on safari.
- Come back and relax in the pool.
- Lunch is served by 1 PM.
- Afternoon safari in the Tala, Magadhi or Khitauli core zone.
- Hi-tea on your return.
- Dinner from 8:30 PM until 10 PM.
- Time to rest.
Day 4 Final safari and departure
- Morning safari in the Tala, Magadhi or Khitauli core zone.
- Breakfast is served on safari.
- Time to say goodbye.
- Check-out by 11:30 AM, with transfer back to Jabalpur.

Exclusions
- Camera charges
- Extra food ordered, which is payable by the guest
- Water bottles taken on safari, which are charged separately
- Anything not listed under inclusions
- The exact inclusions and the total price are confirmed in writing in your quote.
- A valid government photo ID is required for every guest, and names must match the safari permits.
- Safari zones, timings and rules are set by the forest department and can change. The core zones are generally closed in the monsoon.
- Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.

Terms and Refund Policy
Terms and conditions
- 100% advance is required to book the trip and the package.
- Check-in time is 1:00 PM and check-out time is 11:30 AM.
- No loud music is allowed on the property, as it disturbs the wildlife around it.
Refund policy
- No refund on the safari booking, as this is a package booking.
- 50% refund on accommodation if cancelled 30 days before the trip.
- 25% refund on accommodation if cancelled 15 days before the trip.
- No refund on accommodation if cancelled within 15 days of the trip.

Is the Tiger Marathon a running race?
No. Despite the name, it is a multi-day safari expedition with five jeep drives over four days.
How many safaris does it include?
Five jeep safaris: two on Day 2, two on Day 3 and one on the morning of Day 4.
Are all meals included?
Yes. Breakfast (on safari), lunch, hi-tea and dinner are included. Extra food you order is payable by you.
What is the refund policy?
There is no refund on the safari booking, as this is a package. Accommodation is refunded 50% if you cancel 30 days before the trip and 25% if you cancel 15 days before. Within 15 days of the trip there is no refund on accommodation.
Is a tiger sighting guaranteed?
No. More safaris improve your odds, but sightings can never be guaranteed.
